Yes, i am human!

Do you ever feel like your house is crumbling right before your own eyes?
I think that it's sometimes hard for us to admit that we are human.
I hate admitting that I'm not the amazingly perfect housewife and mom that i think i should be!

And on days like today when it feels like my house is falling to pieces it's hard for me to stand back and remember that I am doing the best i can in the situation i am in.

Moving is very hard work. It's hard to pack everything in boxes while still trying to maintain control over every day things like...vacuuming. Or doing the dishes. Or even making dinner!
Plus as a female i find moving very emotional. Don't you?

Sure it was easy before i was married and had a kid. I mean come on, kids have a ton of stuff!!
But back then my mom was in charge of worrying about the details. All i had to do was pack my stuff up a few days before we'd leave and then help her with whatever else needed to be done.
But on days like today i am reminded of the Virtuous Women.
Do you ever wonder if she had hard days? Was her sink ever over flowing with dishes? Or her laundry pile to high? Did she ever forget that kids like to eat lunch or they get very crabby!
 I'm sure she did.
After all she was human just like you and me!

Since i was thinking about the Virtuous Women i decided to read Proverbs 31.
I couldn't tell you how many times I've read this chapter. But today i saw it in a different light!

Here's a quick look at what i found!

Who can find a virtuous woman? For her price is far above rubies.
Prov.31:10

It's still such an amazing verse!

The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her...
Prov. 31:11a

The first thing that i was reminded of is that Kris is trusting in me.
He needs me to make sure that all our items get packed up and be placed in the garage by Friday.
He needs me to make sure that our apartment is clean and ready for the inspection on Sunday.
He also needs me to have a positive attitude during this very hard week while he deals with countless other things.

She seeketh wool, and flax, and worketh willingly with her hands.
Prov.31:13

This verse just makes me smile! Gee, i wonder why! ;~)

She riseth also while it is yet night, and giveth meat to her household.
Prov.31:15a

I also saw this verse in a different light today!!

Yesterday my husband asked me to make tacos for lunch!! You see, he works 3rd shift and he wouldn't be home for dinner. So he asked if I'd make him tacos for lunch.
My flesh says no because this would mess up my schedule.
Plus everyone knows that tacos are dinner food!
But then i think I'd be crazy to send him to work with a hungry tummy.
He's going to work 12 hours so he can provide for his family the least i can do is send him to work with a real meal!

I bet your trying to figure out how this applies to the Virtuous Women!
Well, here's how i see it!

To rise at night probably means that she was sleeping.
Or maybe it was late in the evening and she was getting ready for bed but since her household was hungry she put the needs of others before her.

How many times have we been asked to do something but because it inconvenienced us we said no? Or we actually did the task but had a horrible attitude?
Do you think that is still honoring to God? I don't.

And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.
Col. 3:17

She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness.
Prov.31:27

I was also reminded that i can't just quit this week. Even tho i fee like it!
I can't just veg out on the couch watching movies with Jack all day! I have to get up and finish packing! And clean the walls and baseboards! Plus do all the laundry(we start paying $1 a machine once we move) and still make spaghetti for dinner like Kris asked!

And of course!
Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised.
Prov. 31:30

Have you ever felt hopeless? Like things in your life are building up? The laundry, the dishes, sometimes even the kids? Well you are not alone! Always remember that God is with you!
For he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
Hebrews 13:5b

Well, i think this is it for today! I really need to clean my kitchen!
Plus finish the bathrooms and some laundry!

I hope your enjoying your day!!

Till Next Time,
Kate
