NEW Job!

Hello!!
Yes I know.
I've been pretty MIA lately.
I am SUPER sorry but I've been busy!!
With what you may ask?
Working.
Yep, that's right.
 I got a job!!!

A few months ago my husband Kris took a job at Innovative Services!
The company is really great!
They provides assistance to Developmentally Disabled and Special Needs people.
So after a couple weeks of Kris loving his job at the crisis center, I applied for a direct care position where I get to:
Teach skill sets to increase independence such as: cooking, cleaning, grooming, etc.

I also am able to take the client out into the community which is allot of fun!
So far this job has been an answer to prayers!!
As soon as my training is finished, I'll basically be on a Casual/On-Call schedule.
Which means I'll be able to pick up any extra shift that is available and works with my schedule or just come in when needed.
But otherwise, I just get to be a stay at home mom to Jack but with a few more $$$$ in my pocket!

Soooo, now that things are looking to slow down for me be sure to keep your eyes open for a few items added to the shop!
(I'm about to start work on a few surprises)
Plus I'm hoping to get back to blogging!!

I hope your having a great day!!
We have been blessed with a hot and muggy day.
But I'm praying that the rain will come soon!

    Till Next Time,
    Kate

Cake Batter Balls

So here ya go!
My amazing recipe for Cake Batter Balls!
They are to die for & super easy!!
Where did I get the recipe you ask??
No idea, but I've had it for years!

Here is what you'll need:
1 ½ cups flour
1 ½ cup yellow cake mix
1/2 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup white sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/8 teaspoon salt
Roughly 1/4 cup milk
sprinkles
8-9 squares of 1oz blocks of chocolate(Almond Bark or Baking)

Mix together butter and sugar with mixer until combined.
Then add cake mix, flour, salt, vanilla and mix thoroughly.
(Dough will be crumbly)
The add milk slowly
since you might need more or less to make a dough like consistency.
Mix in sprinkles by hand.
Then refrigerate dough for 10mins.
Once the dough is chilled, roll dough into one inch balls and place on a parchment or wax paper lined cookie sheet.
(I was out of paper)
Then chill balls in the refrigerator to firm up while you melt the chocolate.
I wasn't able to find Almond Bark so I just used regular baking chocolate.
It still turned out great!

Now let's melt the chocolate!
If you have a double boiler, please use it!
I do not, so instead I...
Boil water...
Then place a bowl on top...
And over med-low heat start melting Chocolate!!
Then dip into chocolate
and shake of excess.
Then place on baking sheet.
Sprinkle with sprinkles!!!
Then repeat with the remaining balls!
Be sure to chill the Cake Batter Balls in the refrigerator until serving.
& it makes around 24-30.
For Jack's birthday
I did milk & white chocolate Balls!

I hope you enjoy!

Till Next Time,
Kate

Chart's for Jack-Jack!

Hello People,
So since we now have a 3 year old around I thought it would ba great time to put him to work!
Okay, okay not really.
But I did whip up a cute
Chore Chart
and a
Potty Chart!!
Jack is WAY into stickers right now, so I thought why not make him a way to use them!
And they were super easy and cheap to make!
Here's What you'll Need:
Poster Bored(0.68c)
Washable Markers($2.99 at Target)
Stickers(0.99c)
Ruler(had on hand)
Like I mentioned eariler, it's super easy!
Step 1. Decied what size you'd like your chart, and then measure and cut.
Step 2. Measure and add the colums.
Step 3. Fill in the spaces!
I choose to leave tthe colums bigger that way each time he goes we can just add a sticker to the slot.
For each "Uh-Oh!" I will draw in a sad face that way we can keep track of how many accidents there are a day.
Step 4. Hang Up!
I did the same with the Chore Chart.
I tried to add things that we all ready do with him.
Next time i'll add: Feeding the Fish and Picking Up the Patio to the list.
And this fall we will be adding: Practice Memory Verse

Jack was very excited to see the chart!
(Yes I did make him a smaller chart for this week)
I hope he enjoys adding the stickers!!

Till Next Time,
Kate
