Highlight & Reveiw: Scarves!

Who doesn't love a great scarf?
It's the easiest way to add a splash of color to a boring outfit!

Since i have so many great scarves in my Shop I've decided to make this post about All my favorite ones!

So i hope you enjoy hearing about Scarves!!

A while ago my very dear friend Cortney Badenhop asked me to make her a Custom Scarf!!

So i went shopping at my local fabric store and found this amazing fabric!

I think it turned out super cute!

Cortney also has the adorable Zebra Print Scarf!!

Which is totally one of my favorites!!

Last week when i decided to do a special Highlight & Review week i immediatly emailed Cortney some questions and thankfully she answered them!

Here's what she said:

How did you hear about Sew Simply Kate? I heard about it when my friend, Kate, came up with the idea of her business ;)

What item/s did you purchase? I have a dress, 2 scarves, and a couple flowers

Are you satisfied with the color/s? The colors of everything are great!

Is the size what you were expecting? The scarves are a great length to spice up everyday wear,  the dress fit pretty well in most spots.

Is there anything that surprised you about the product? SSK customer service is great!  It was her first time with a dress and since there were a few spots that weren't "right" she said she'd make a new one for me since she figured out the kinks :)

How often do you use your item? I wear the scarves when I go out with jeans and a plain shirt

Would you purchase other items from Sew Simply Kate? Def!

What would you like to see added next into the Shop? I'm not sure, but she is doing a great job expanding her horizons daily :)

Another customer of mine asked me to make the Zebra Print Scarf but with out any ruffles and to make it wider!

This scarf turned out to be 10in wide and 65in long! It was SO cute that I'm considering offering this style later this fall/winter! What do you think?

Highlight & Reveiw: Custom Flowers

I really love Fabric Flowers! For someone who makes and sales items, i think it's very important that you love and use your own products!
And i can honestly say that i LOVE using my Fabric Flowers!

This past spring, Mel Murphy asked me to make her some Custom Flowers for her wedding!!

I immediately jumped at the chance!

I think they turned out so cute!

And i LOVE this color!!

So last week i sent Mel a message asking if she'd be willing to answer a few questions and she so graciously said yes!

How did you hear about Sew Simply Kate? I know Kate personally from forever ago, and found her shop on Facebook. :)

 What item/s did you purchase?

I purchased some flower puffs for my wedding, and also won a bag!

 Are you satisfied with the color/s? Yes! Very!

 Is the size what you were expecting? Well, to be honest, no. But that's cause I'm a horrible guesstimator with size and whatnot, but they ended up being perfect for what we used them for!! :)

 Is there anything that surprised you about the product?

Nope- they were surprisingly awesome. ;-) 

 How often do you use your item? Hm, not daily, but they are used for decor and everything!

Would you purchase other items from Sew Simply Kate? Absolutely. I look all the time.

What would you like to see added next into the shop? Hmmm.... I love everything. I love the scarfs, and will probably purchase one soon... I'd say you have a good selection!

Highlight: Wallet Picture Update!

Highlight: Wallets

I am SO excited to finally have a couple of Wallets made!! But I was so disappointed when i woke to still see rain outside!! Which is great, but it totally put a damper on my plans to photogragh outside! So i am very sorry for the horrible pictures today :~( But once the sun comes out I'll be outside trying to capture the true personality of these Wallets!

I had a lot of fun making these!!  And thankfully i still have a ton of this amazing fabric! So if you would like more then one Wallet PLEASE let me know!!

Since i haven't sold one yet i wasn't able to get a review. But hopefully i can answer any and all questions that you might have!

Size: roughly 8in wide and 10in long.  It's about 5in when folded shut

How does it close??

Magnetic Snaps!

Card Slots: Top Row: Has 2 rows. The back is open and will allow for money. The front row has 2 card slots. If you would like both rows open(no card slots) please let me know! The bottom wallet pictured has no card slots on the Top Row.

The Bottom Row: Has 4 rows which will hold 8 cards!

If you would like the Bottom Row to be open and allow for money in back Please let me know!

Other uses: How about as a clutch? I think it's the perfect size to carry by it's self!! So in a few weeks(after we get moved) I'm going to turn one into a clutch with a small strape on the side!

Highlight & Reveiw: Medium 6 Pocket Bag!

I think it's pretty obvious that i love these bags since I've made so many of them!!

 But seriously, how can you go wrong with multiple pockets and cute fabric? Well guess what?! You can't!!

I love that your able to keep everything that you need so neat and organized!

And you know whats better then 6 Pockets??

How about 12 ?? That right i can put 6 more Pockets on the inside! That way everything on the inside is neat and organized too!!

But maybe you'd like to pick out your own fabric. Well we can do that too! Just let me know and I'll send you over to my favorite online fabric store & help you find what you are looking for!!

Earlier this summer my husband's cousin Jessie asked me to make her a Custom 6 Pocket Bag!!

I was SUPER excited to say yes!!!

Strapes: 21in long. But they can be longer and wider!

Highlight & Reveiw: Reversible Headbands

I personally LOVE my Reversible Headbands!!! I wear mine 2-3 times a week!! I've also had many compliments when i wear them out(especially from the ladies at the fabric store!!! What do you think of them??

Last week i sent out a email to the Winner of last month's Reversible Headband Giveaway Rachel Groves asking if she'd answer a few questions for me!! Well she happily sent my email back full of wonderful answers!

So here's what she had say about these fantastic Headbands!

Are you satisfied with the fabric? I love the quality of the fabric. It's soft and the colors are beautiful.

Is the size what you were expecting? It is slightly big maybe by half and in on the elastic but I have a small head.

How often do you use your item? I wear the headbands almost every day

Would you purchase other items from Sew Simply Kate? I would order from you again in the future.

What would you like to see added next into the Shop? Not sure if you make them for kids or even babies but if you did I would be interested in those.

Here are a few Facts about these Headbands:

Size: The headband is roughly 16in long and 2in wide at widest point. The elastic center is 5-6in long.

Child Size: The headband itself is roughly 12in long and 1.5in at the widest point. The elastic center is roughly 2-3in long.

If you would like your headband longer or shorter PLEASE let me know!! These are Made to Order so it's VERY easy to make them fit you!!
